Another amazing attraction of the Welu River is the community of red-backed sea eagles. Visitors can take a boat ride for 30 minutes to explore the mangrove with the sustainable farming of shrimp and shell that has been well-planned to preserve the ecosystem’s balance. With the crowded population of frog, leaf frog, snake, bird, insect, rat, and other reptiles, the red-backed sea eagles stick to this area for their food. If visitors would love to see the beauty of these red-backed sea eagles, they have to go in silence, and to get closer, bait of fish is involved so the chance of witnessing them flying down for food is worth the moment. The community lasts all-year-round but the peak season is during November to May. The boat ride can be found at nearby piers, and the sunset cruise is also popular too.

Hint before visiting : The population of red-backed sea eagle is dense as the locals barely disturb them, so the visit should be in silence as much as possible.

Tip : Bare eye witness is possible, and in close range.
